Adair Shops is located in Dubuque, Iowa, and was founded in 1999 by Howard Samarin. The company produces a line of non-toxic alloy metal weight upgrade kits for ready-to-run rolling stock, as well as water-based cement for adhering the weights to the car. The weight sets bring the cars up to NMRA standards (or heavier) for better performance.
