A-Line/Proto Power West was started in 1978 by Joe D'Elia Jr. in La Verne, California. It is best known for its locomotive repower equipment and for introducing the intermodal age to model railroading in the early 1980s with its line of intermodal cars, containers and decals. Over the years its product line has grown to include detail parts, repowering products, weighting supplies, track cleaner kits, vehicles and decals for rail and highway. All A-Line products are high quality, prototypically correct and highly detailed.
